About Yala Designs

Yala is a pioneer in producing sustainable clothing and bedding. Their world-traveling founders had a vision of creating products that complemented their adventurous lifestyle, which led them to be early importers of organic bamboo apparel and bedding way back in 1996 while living and teaching English in China with their young daughter. Since then Yala has worked closely with the same production team in China where it all began, processing renewable and selectively-harvested organic bamboo into fabric in a closed-loop viscose process. They use low-impact AZO- free dyes to create a finished product that is crazy soft, gentle on the earth, and safe for everyone involved.
